A matching multi-layer production cel and background from the Marvel animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a dynamic full-body image of Beast after being transformed into the Fifth Horseman by Cortez, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season five episode "The Fifth Horseman," which aired on February 8, 1997. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 5"x4.5", the background and cel are in very good condition. The cel displays minor scratches, surface wear, black line fade, and light curling. The background displays paint transfer and damage from being stuck to a cel layer on its surface, and light edge and corner wear. Also included is a matching production drawing.
